Mariusz Uchman graduated from the Faculty of Chemistry, Rzeszów University of Technology and defended his Ph.D. thesis at Charles University in Prague where he is now working as an Independent Research Fellow at the Department of Physical and Macromolecular Chemistry.
He possesses large experrience in research work and has published more than 40 papers in internationally recognized journals. His current research interest is focused on the application of amphiphilic block copolymers as drug delivery vehicles and sensors in nanotechnology.
He has participated in many training courses, conferences and workshops. For his research work he received many scholarships (Marie Curie fellowship under the 6th. EU Framwork Programme, UNESCO/IUPAC postgraduate scholarship), grants (Czech Science Foundation, Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education and German Academic Exchange Service). He is coopering with foreign institutes and universities from Germany, Greece, Holland, Spain, Israel, Poland and South Korea.
Mariusz speaks fluently English and Czech. At Siegma-Consult he is assisting R&D projects for enterprises with technical and scientific advice in the field of materials science and chemistry.
